Ingredients needed for this healthy Halloween drink are 1.5 teaspoons cloves, 4 cups apple cider, 1 teaspoon Herbal Goodness Papaya Leaf Liquid Extract, 4 cups cranberry juice, 4 cinnamon sticks and 1 large Granny Smith apple. 

  1. Bind the cinnamon sticks and cloves in a clean cotton cheesecloth and tie. (Department stores sale cotton cheesecloth.)
  2. Pour the apple cider, Herbal Goodness Papaya Leaf Liquid Extract and cranberry juice in a slow cooker. Add in the cotton cheesecloth bag.
  3. Cook on low for 4 hours
  4. Remove the cheesecloth
  5. Blend and serve 

The above Halloween fruit treats recipe serves 8 people. Pour the drink in a large glass container and place in the refrigerator if you want to enjoy this recipe for several days. 

Baked Sweet Potato Chips2

You can serve this healthy Halloween recipe as an appetizer or door giveaway. Here's what you'll need: 

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 large peeled sweet potatoes
  • 3 scallions
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes
  • Kosher salt
  • Ground pepper 

Heat your oven to 350 degrees. Spray cookie sheets with a nonstick grease. Slice the sweet potatoes to the thickness that you prefer. Use a paper towel or a cooking brush to lightly layer each sliced sweet potato with olive oil. 

Sprinkle the top of the sweet potato slices with salt and pepper. Bake for 10 minutes. 

Blend the cranberries, sun dried tomatoes and scallions in a food processor. Top the baked sweet potato slices with the fruit and vegetable blend. Enjoy these healthy Halloween snacks.
